Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age and adults especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. One in every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21. Adults may have experienced some breakdown or loss of bone that supports the teeth and may require periodontal treatment before, during and/or after orthodontic treatment. Since many adults are missing teeth, Dr. Krowicki will work closely with your general dentist and any necessary specialist to ensure the best possible outcome of your comprehensive treatment plan. Adults, like children, usually require full braces with a duration lasting one to two years.
